Police Warn Of Robberies On Near South Side
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Police are warning citizens of increased robberies around the Near South Side this month.
Boys between the ages of 10 and 16 are approaching citizens and forcibly taking away their cell phones or money, a statement from police said.
The most recent incident happened about 6:10 p.m. on Nov. 15 in the 2900 block of South King Drive, police said. A day before that, a similar robbery occurred about 6:40 p.m. in the 3000 block of South King Drive.
The offenders are believed to be young, black boys in groups, police said.
