The first occurred in the 6800 block of South Oakley Avenue, the second in the 5600 block of South Western Avenue.
On Oakley, police say a man went off with the car dealer in a gray 2004 Dodge Stratus, then pulled a weapon and told the dealer to get out.
On Western, police say a man test drove a red 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix. At some point, the car stopped and two other people got in, and the three of them forced the car salesman out of the car.
Police advise car dealers always to get driver's license information from a potential customer before the test drive.
