Police Use Taser On Suspect Who Tries To Escape
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police used a Taser on a suspect in a carjacking as he tried to escape from the South Chicago District patrol station.
The suspect was being treated by paramedics as of 1:45 a.m. after being Tased at the South Chicago District station, 2255 E. 103rd St., according to police.
Police said the man tried to escape after he was arrested for an attempted vehicular hijacking that occurred at 11:11 p.m. Tuesday at 2357 E. 79th St. He was back in custody by 1:45 a.m. Wednesday, police said.
The suspect did not suffer any life-threatening injuries and no officers were hurt.
