Police: Uber Driver Shot At Passenger Who Broke His Moon Roof
CHICAGO (CBS) -- An Uber driver and his passenger both have been arrested on criminal charges, after an altercation in Rolling Meadows over the weekend.
Police said 44-year-old Marvin White picked up five people at a party at around 3 a.m. Saturday, and at some point, got into an argument with some of the passengers.
After White pulled over, one of the passengers who got out of the car, 20-year-old Alan Slawson, picked up a large rock, and threw it through White's moon roof, shattering the glass.
White allegedly responded by pulling out a gun, and firing two shots at Slawson and two other passengers as they ran away.
No one was injured.
Police said the passengers were very drunk.
White has been charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm, and was being held at Cook County Jail on $75,000 bail.
Slawson was charged with criminal property damage, and was being held on $50,000 bail.
