Police: Two Killed In Crash Near Lindenhurst
(STMW) -- Two people were killed in a traffic crash near north suburban Lindenhurst Saturday afternoon, police said.
About 4 p.m., a Nissan traveling north on Route 45 struck a southbound Kia at an intersection, as the Kia was making a left turn onto eastbound Route 132 in unincorporated Warren Township, according to Lindenhurst police.
The two people in the Kia were taken to a hospital where they later died, police said.
Three people in the Nissan were taken to hospitals as well, police said. Their ages, conditions and genders were not available.
The Lake County coroner's office could not immediately be reached to confirm the fatalities.
