Police: Three Shot, One Fatally, On Near Southwest Side
CHICAGO (STMW) -- One man is dead and two other people were wounded in a shooting on the Near Southwest Side early Sunday.
The shooting happened at 2:11 a.m. in the 2400 block of West Roosevelt Road, police said.
A 19-year-old man was shot in the head and stomach, police said. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he later died.
An 18-year-old man was shot in the leg and taken in "stable" condition to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, according to police.
A third male, whose age was not identified, wounded in the same attack later walked into John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County with a gunshot wound to the chest.
No one was in custody Sunday morning.
Area North detectives are investigating.
