Police Stop Burglary In Roscoe Village
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Three men were arrested after police caught them burglarizing a residence in the Roscoe Village neighborhood Tuesday morning.
Chicago residents Tyrone Donald, 22, and Cory Durr, 31, as well as 31-year-old Michael Stephens of Waukegan were each charged with 2 counts of residential burglary, police said.
Police responding to a report of a home burglary in the 3500 block of North Oakley Avenue, found the trio in the midst of the act about 11:10 a.m., police said.
After surrounding the residence, officers saw the men attempt to flee out the back of the building. Officers chased the men back into the building and immediately arrested two of them, according to a statement from police News Affairs. The third was later arrested when he was found hiding under a piece of furniture, police said.
Officers searched their vehicle and found items taken from another incident.
The men were scheduled to appear in Cook County Bond Court Wednesday.
