Police Seek Owners Of Items Stolen In Lakeview
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Police are seeking the owners of items that were taken during home burglaries in the North Side Lakeview neighborhood over the last few months.
Daunta Head, 46, allegedly burglarized several homes — mostly garden apartments and multi-unit buildings — throughout Lake View between July and November, according to Chicago Police.
Head, of the 5300 block of South Indiana, faces two counts of residential burglary, one count of burglary and one count of theft/deception, police said. He was ordered held on a $25,000 bond in court Friday.
Head allegedly pawned numerous stolen items at pawn shops, which detectives have since recovered. Police are now asking for help identifying the owners of the stolen property, which includes jewelry, cameras and laptops.
One of the stolen items is a 1966 men's Fenger High School class ring with a red stone, with the initials DJB engraved, police said.
Anyone with information about the ring, or who has been a victim of a burglary in the area, is asked to call detectives at (312) 744-8263.
