Police: Man Exposed Himself To 13-Year-Old Girls In Lincoln Park
UPDATED 11/18/11 9:18 a.m.
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police are looking for a man who dropped his pants and exposed himself to two 13-year-old girls in a quiet and leafy section of the Lincoln Park neighborhood recently.
The girls were in the 2000 block of North Larrabee Street, close to Oz Park, at 4:40 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, when the man came up, dropped his pants and exposed his penis, according to an alert from Belmont Area police detectives.
Afterward, the man then crossed the street and drove off on a small red motorcycle or scooter, the alert said.
One of the girls reported that the same man approached her in the same manner on Aug. 16 on the very same block, in front of a townhouse at 2052 N. Larrabee St., according to the alert.
Another victim was walking home Nov. 8 on Lincoln Avenue, just southeast of the intersection with Cleveland and Dickens avenues, when she saw the same man with his pants down, exposing himself to her, the alert said.
The man is described as white or white Hispanic with a medium complexion, between the ages of 25 and 35. He stands 5 feet 6 to 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighs 130 to 180 pounds, and has short black hair, the alert said.
He was twice seen twice wearing a red baseball cap and jeans.
Other suspected child predators have also been reported in the area in recent months. In Oz Park on Sept. 8, a man rolled down the window of his car and offered candy to two 10-year-old girls who were jogging during gym class.
The man in that case is described as white and in his late 20s or 30s, police said. His face was chubby, and he was wearing a black T-shirt and driving a black car that might have been a Mercedes Benz.
Anyone with information should contact Belmont Area detectives at (312) 744-8200.
