Police Searching For Missing City Worker
CHICAGO (STMW) - Police are asking for the public's help finding a city truck driver missing from his Southwest Side home since Oct. 29.
Humberto "Beto" Gutierrez, 55, went missing from the 2500 block of South Spaulding Avenue, according to a missing person alert from Harrison Area detectives. Gutierrez also goes by the alias DNA.
Gutierrez is a truck driver for the city's Department of Streets & Sanitation and has not shown up for work since going missing, the alert said. However, he is a member of the Bally Total Fitness gym in Countryside and signed in as a guest at 3 p.m. Oct. 30. <!--[endif]-->
Gutierrez is described as a 6-feet, 180-pound Hispanic man with an olive complexion, brown hair and brown eyes, according to the alert.
He drives a green 1998 Jeep with Illinois license plate numbers K104171, the alert said.
The person who filed the report said the behavior is out of character, police said.
