Police Search For Missing Boy With Autism
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Chicago police were reporting no luck so far in their search for an autistic teen who has been missing since Tuesday.
Kahil Gray, 15, was with his father on Tuesday at the University of Chicago's Comer Children's Hospital when he just ran away.
Surveillance cameras caught Gray on tape as he ran north on Cottage Grove Avenue.
Police described Gray as a 5 feet 6 inches tall and 130 pounds. He is African-American and has a medium complexion, brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing a white shirt with blue stripes, and light blue jean shorts.
Gray is autistic and his father said he speaks very few words, but does recognize his own name. He lives near 92nd Street and Stony Island Avenue.
Police and members of his family spent all Tuesday night searching for the boy.
His mother, Beryl Gray, said "I just want somebody to find him now, and turn him in, because it's too long. It's getting too long, you know, he's in danger."
