Police Search For Driver Who Slammed Into Woman, 19
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police have released surveillance images of the car involved in a hit-and-run crash that left a 19-year-old woman injured this week on the city's West Side.
The crash happened around 6:30 p.m. Thursday, when the car slammed into the young woman as she crossed Madison Street near Pulaski Road. The white car was believed either to be a Buick LeSabre or Park Avenue made between 1992 and 1999, with black molding on lower side, police said.
The woman was critically injured injuries in the crash, according to Fire Media Affairs.
It was unknown what direction the offending driver, a man, fled. There were three other males in the car with him.
The car was reported to have windshield and passenger-side headlight assembly damage, police said. It may have had a Wisconsin license plate.
