Police Search For Driver In Hit-And-Run Crash
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police are searching for the driver of a car involved in a hit-and-run accident over the weekend, in which a woman was seriously injured.
The crash happened around 2:15 a.m. Sunday in the 3400 block of West Madison Street on the southern edge of Garfield Park, police said. The woman was seriously injured, but her condition or hospital information was not listed.
The vehicle is a gold or silver colored Buick Park Avenue with a maroon colored rear passenger door, according to a news release from the police Major Accidents Investigation Unit.
After striking the woman the car continued west on Madison Street before turning north on Central Park Avenue, the release said.
