Hostage Situation In Rogers Park Ends

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A hostage situation in the North Side Rogers Park neighborhood has ended with police taking an armed man into custody.
The standoff ended shortly before 2:30 p.m. and no shots were fired, WBBM Newsradio's John Cody reports.
Police were seen escorting young children out of the building.
The man was taken out on a stretcher but did not appear to be seriously injured.
There were no other injuries.
Police confirmed a barricade/hostage situation began in the 1200 block of West Morse Avenue shortly after 1 p.m.
The incident involved an altercation between the man and his girlfriend, police said.
