Police Release Sketch Of Suspect In Gresham Attack
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police have released a sketch of the suspect in the robbery and attempted kidnapping of a 14-year-old girl at a CTA bus stop earlier this month in the Gresham neighborhood.
Police said the girl was at a CTA bus stop at 8401 S. Ashland Av. at about 7 a.m. on Sept. 8 when a man who had been driving a blue vehicle approached her and demanded her jacket.
As the girl was giving the man her jacket, he grabbed her backpack and tried to push her into his vehicle, police said.
The girl ran away from the suspect, who fled the scene in an unknown direction.
The suspect is described a black man, about 40 years old, 6 feet 2 inches tall, 180 to 200 pounds, with a dark complexion and a full beard and mustache. He has an African or Jamaican accent.
