Police Question Father In Deadly Matteson Shooting
MATTESON, Ill. (CBS) -- A 26-year-old man was shot and killed Sunday night in south suburban Matteson, and his father was being questioned Monday morning in his death.
As CBS 2's Susanna Song reports, Matteson police said when officers arrived at the home in the 3700 block of West 216th Street, they were greeted by the father on the front lawn, and he told them he had shot his 26-year-old son.
The Cook County Medical Examiner's office has identified the son as Timothy Lithgow Jr.

Matteson police say they received a call just before 9 p.m. Sunday.
Upon responding, they found the son inside the house in the living room with numerous gunshot wounds.
He was pronounced dead at the home.
The South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force is working with Matteson police in investigating the shooting death.
The father was in police custody as of Monday morning.
Police have declined to say just yet what led up to the incident, or if anyone else was in the home at the time.
