Police Probe Suburban Man's Murder In Ark.
LAKE NORFORK, Ark. (CBS) The investigation continues, after a 20-year-old Villa Park man and his mother were shot to death in Arkansas, apparently by the woman's husband.
At approximately 9:01 a.m. on Friday, Baxter County Arkansas Sheriff's deputies responded to a 911 call reporting that a woman was lying on the floor in a pool of blood inside the residence in the 100 block of Forest Hills Dr., in Lake Norfork, a release from the sheriff's office said.
The caller had been unable to reach the occupants and was attempting to check their welfare, the release said.
Sheriff's Deputies and an officer with the Arkansas State Police arrived at the home 10 minutes later to investigate. Deputies had to force entry into the home through the locked front door to gain access.
The bodies of Louis Svensson, Victor Robles, and the stepfather, Harry Svensson, 52, were all found inside. The victims all appeared to have suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
Police believe Harry Svensson shot and killed his wife and her son, then shot and killed himself, but the investigation continues.
A handgun, spent shell casings and other pieces of evidence were found at the scene.
The bodies were transferred to the State Medical Examiner's office. The results of the autopsies have not been released.
