Police Nab Robbery Suspect Caught In Act
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police arrived just in time to stop a robber in Lakeview--and caught him in the act.
William Castle, 43, is now charged with aggravated robbery and kidnapping.
Police said he walked into a restaurant near Clark and School street on Sunday and demanded money from an employee. He then ordered a customer and her two kids to go to the back of the restaurant.
The customer managed to call 911.
When officers arrived, they say they saw Castle struggling with the restaurant worker.
A judge ordered Castle held on $1 million bail.
Castle is registered sex offender in Tennessee, police said.
