Police: Man Tried To Lure Girl Into Vehicle In Rolling Meadows
ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill. (STMW) -- Police have released a sketch of a man who attempted to lure a girl into his car Sunday in northwest suburban Rolling Meadows.
The 12-year-old girl was crossing a parking lot near Algonquin Road and Barker Avenue about 10 a.m. when a man driving slowly in a vehicle asked her in Spanish where she was going and if she needed a ride, Rolling Meadows police said.
The girl did not reply and continued walking, but the man demanded that she get into the car, a statement from police said. The girl then ran away and the man drove off.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his early 20s with a thin build and short, spiked hair, police said.
He was wearing a red Chicago Bulls tank-top jersey with a white t-shirt underneath, police said. He was also wearing a long, thick, silver necklace with a circular shaped pendant.
The vehicle is described as a silver four-door sedan with body damage on the right front and right rear, police said.
