Police: Man Stole Snow Blower, Hit Owner With Pickup Truck
WHEELER, Ind. (CBS) -- Snow removal may have been the motivation behind a hit and run this week in Northwest Indiana.
As WBBM Newsradio's Julie Mann reports, police in Wheeler, Ind., are looking for the driver of a pickup truck that ran over the owner of a snow blower he had allegedly just stolen.

The incident took place in the 300 block of Pepper Creek in an unincorporated area along Route 149 just east of Wheeler, the Northwest Indiana Post-Tribune is reporting.
Jon Talmadge, 43, claims he heard a noise outside his home, and when he went to investigate, he found the red pickup truck in his driveway, and the suspect loading the snow blower into the back.
Talmadge attempted to stop the man from driving off with his snow blower, and was hit by the man's pickup truck, police said.
Police found Talmadge lying in the road with cuts and bruises.
The search for the suspect continues. Talmadge described him as about 6 feet 2 inches tall and 180 pounds with dark skin.
