Police: Man Sexually Assaulted Boy, 7
CHICAGO (STMW) - A Pilsen neighborhood man has been charged with showing pornographic videos to a 7-year-old boy before sexually assaulting the child, who contracted an STD from the attack.
David Velasco, 32, of the 1700 block of West 17th Street, was charged early Tuesday with one count of predatory criminal sexual assault, according to police.
Velasco was booked into Cook County Jail on Tuesday after being ordered held on a $75,000 bond, according to an online inmate search for the Cook County Jail.
The 7-year-old victim identified Velasco as the person who kissed him on the mouth, showed him pornographic videos and sexually assaulted him, according to a police report.
The child tested positive for a sexually transmitted disease following the attack, the report said.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 15.
