CHICAGO (STMW) - A man was killed in a hit-and-run accident early Saturday in the North Side Old Town neighborhood, police said.
The 32-year-old man -- identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner's office as Jesse Bradley -- was walking within a crosswalk near the intersection of LaSalle and Division streets when a Jeep Liberty struck him around 2:30 a.m., said police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer.
Bradley, of the 1100 block of North LaSalle Drive, was pronounced dead at Northwestern Memorial Hospital at 2:54 a.m.
The driver, who police described as a 21-year-old woman, was heading southbound on LaSalle Street and was stopped by police shortly after the accident, Greer said.
The driver and a passenger were also taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital and were in stable condition, Greer said.
No charges have been filed and citations are pending against the driver, Greer said, adding the woman may have been driving under the influence.
The police Major Accidents Investigation Unit is investigating.
