Police: Man Impersonating Uber Driver Sexually Assaults 2 Women
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A 33-year-old Glenview man is accused of posing as an Uber driver, picking up women in Chicago, and sexually assaulting them in a suburb.
Musaab S. Afandi was being held without bond on aggravated kidnapping and aggravated sexual assault charges.
Skokie police say Afandi impersonated an Uber driver when he picked up a woman in the 2500 block of North Halsted in Chicago on Feb. 12.
He allegedly drove her to a neighborhood in Skokie and sexually assaulted her in the car.
Afandi committed a similar crime early Sunday. A woman tells police she got into his car after leaving a Wrigleyville bar and was assaulted in a quiet neighborhood.
Afandi was arrested Monday.
