Police: Man Found Murdered On South Side Street
CHICAGO (STMW) - Police say a man found dead Wednesday night in his East Chicago neighborhood was murdered.
Police responded about 8:30 p.m. to the 10000 block of South Calhoun Avenue and found a man dead with blunt trauma, police said.
Fire Media Affairs spokesman Joe Roccasalva said the man, in his 50s, was dead on the scene. He could not provide further information on the cause of death.
The Cook County Medical Examiner's office could not immediately confirm the death.
Calumet Area detectives are investigating, but nobody is in custody Wednesday night.
