Police: Man Dead After South Shore Shooting
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man is dead after being critically wounded during a shooting Monday morning in the South Shore neighborhood, police said.
The shooting occurred in the 7400 block of South Dorchester Avenue, police News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli said. Several males approached him and one opened fire.
The 28-year-old victim was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital with gunshot wounds to the chest and arm, Mirabelli said.
The victim and the suspected gunman are documented gang members, according to police.
No one is in custody and Area Central detectives are investigating.
