Police: 'Love Triangle' Sparked Fatal Drive-By Shooting In Marquette Park
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A "love triangle" led to a fatal drive-by shooting Saturday morning in the Marquette Park neighborhood, police said.
The shooting happened about 6:38 a.m. when shots were fired from a vehicle in the 6600 block of South Bell Avenue, police said. A 22-year-old man was shot in the upper chest and was pronounced dead at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, authorities said.
A police source said a feud between the victim and another man sparked the shooting.
The man's name was being withheld as authorities notify his family, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
Police said they have made no arrests as Area Central detectives investigate.
