Police: Jail Inmate Asks Teen For Racy Photos
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man being held in Cook County Jail was arrested again Wednesday, accused of asking a teenager to mail him racy photos of herself.
Matuesz Bieniewski, 23, of Glenview, was charged with misdemeanor sexual exploitation of a child, according to Glenview police.
He was arrested Wednesday at the jail, where he already was being held on $30,000 bond on an unrelated offense.
In August, a complaint was filed against Bieniewski, of 4124 Cove Ln. in Glenview, after the parents of a 15-year-old girl told police he enticed her to remove her clothes during internet-based conversations, Glenview police Cmdr. Jeff Ader said.
The girl apparently took topless snapshots on Skype and the sent them to Bieniewski, an acquaintance who lives in the girl's neighborhood.
That case was closed after the parents refused to sign papers to prosecute Bieniewski, Ader said.
Later, while in jail on retail theft charges, Bieniewski asked the same girl to mail him scantily-clad photos of her, Ader said. She did not respond but told her parents, who contacted police and signed a complaint.
The Cook County State's Attorney's office said he was charged in July with felony retail theft, and then charged again with felony retail theft in November.
