Police Investigate Death Of North Chicago Toddler
NORTH CHICAGO, Ill. (STMW) -For a second time this month, the Lake County Coroner's Office is conducting a death investigation of a small child.
The most recent case occurred May 19 in North Chicago.
Tyquan Thompson, 3, of the 700 block of 18th Street, was found unresponsive after falling asleep on a blanket. North Chicago police are also investigating, but they did not return a telephone call on Friday.
The other case was a 9-month-old in Zion on May 11. That baby, Cassidy Valeria Jackson-Mateous, was found by her mother unresponsive in her crib.
Zion police are investigating that case and they are waiting for more test results to come back.
