Police: Home Invader Beats, Sexually Assaults SW Side Woman
CHICAGO (CBS/STMW) -- Police are searching for a man who beat and sexually assaulted a 46-year-old woman early Saturday in the Vittum Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side.
A man between the ages of 20 and 30 forced his way into the woman's home in the 4500 block of South La Crosse Avenue at about 1:30 a.m., police said in a community alert.
The victim tells CBS a strange man was tapping on her window and trying to get in. She says she grabbed a curtain rod and opened the door to fight him off, but he forced his way into her home, beat her and sexually assaulted her.
