The Chicago Tribune reports prosecutors say Barraza and another girl robbed a man at knifepoint Saturday night near her Logan Square neighborhood home.
They asked for a ride from the 4400 block of West Fullerton Avenue back to a location near Barraza's home in the 3700 block of West Shakespeare Avenue, then put a knife to his throat and took his cash and cell phone from his pockets when they arrived, the Tribune reports.
But the victim grabbed the strap of the other girl's bag, and wouldn't let go, even as the girls hit and scratched him, the Tribune reported.
At that point, two 12-year-old boys happened to walk by, and Barazza offered them each $10 apiece to help fight off the man, prosecutors said in the Tribune's report.
The boys refused, and instead tracked Barraza to her home nearby. The victim called police, and Barraza was arrested, the newspaper reported.
