ELGIN, Ill. (CBS) -- A 23-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly firing a shot inside the auto repair shop where he used to work in northwest suburban Elgin.
Kyle Horn, of unincorporated Elgin, was charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm and unlawful use of a weapon after he allegedly fired a gun inside Elgin Driveline, in the 200 block of North State Street in Elgin on Monday, police said.
A source said that Horn had gone into the shop to get his tools back when the shop owner came at him with a bat. Horn allegedly took out a gun and fired a shot into the ground.
Horn was arrested and charges were filed late Monday afternoon. He was due for a bond hearing at the Kane County Courthouse on Tuesday.
No one was injured during the shooting.
