Police Find 280 Pounds Of Coke Abandoned In Street
Snow in the street is normal in winter. In Cicero, cops recovered a different kind of "snow" left in the street.
CICERO, Ill. (AP) - Officials in Cicero say police have recovered more than 280 pounds of cocaine found abandoned in the middle of a street.
Cicero officials said Monday that an anonymous tipster called police to report individuals moving boxes into a van parked on the street. Authorities say the tipster called police after 1 of the boxes fell to the ground and spilled a white powdery substance.
Officials say the suspects had fled by the time police arrived, but officers found the drugs and damaged box at the scene. No arrests have been made and an investigation continues.
