Eff is now at Northwestern Memorial Hospital with two broken legs, a fractured shoulder and elbow, and a fractured skull, the newspaper reported.
The driver of the car took off north on Michigan Avenue, then made a right turn the wrong way on Chestnut Street, police told the Tribune. A woman saw Eff leaning in the street, and waited until paramedics came, the newspaper reported.
Police and Eff's family are now asking your help to find the driver. Police tell the Tribune they have some leads, but not a lot.
Anyone with information is asked to call Chicago Police Major Accident Investigation Unit at (312) 747-4521.
Meanwhile, Eff faces Christmas in the hospital, and weeks, if not months, of rehabilitation, the Tribune reported.
