Police: Elderly Joliet Man Freezes To Death
JOLIET (CBS) -- An elderly Joliet man apparently froze to death after walking outside of his house and falling, police said.
According to Joliet Police Lt. Kevin LaBolle, the man's family found the man's dead body in his backyard at 10 a.m. Sunday in the 1100 block of Highland Avenue, the Herald News is reporting.
LaBolle would not release the man's name or age, but said he was elderly and that he lived alone in the single-family house. He said the man was outside overnight and ruled out any foul play.
According to the National Weather Service, it was 16 degrees outside at 12:15 a.m. Sunday in Joliet.
