Police: Drunk Man Couldn't Remember How He Was Shot
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Police investigating a Monday night shooting on the Northwest Side said they have few promising leads because the "intoxicated" victim told officers that he was too drunk to remember how he was injured.
"It appears the intoxicated victim does not remember how he sustained the gunshot wound," police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said.
Few details about the shooting were available.
But what is known is that the 22-year-old man was in the 5100 block of West Dickens Avenue when he was shot in the leg about 11 p.m., police said.
He was taken to Our Lady of the Resurrection Medical Center where he is listed in "stable" condition, police said.
No one was in custody as Area North detectives investigated.
