Police: Drunk Driver Peed On Floor, Played 'Air Piano' At Police Station
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Prosecutors say a drunken driver first peed on the floor, then sang and played "air piano" for the officers who arrested him on the city's Far South Side.
Early Sunday morning, Santa Ana Campuzano, 33, of the Back of the Yards neighborhood, was spotted by officers passed out in his 2002 Ford Expedition at the intersection of 115th Street and Doty Avenue, according to a police report.
The vehicle was parked in the median strip of 115th Street, the Chicago Tribune reported.
When police tried to talk to him, they found empty Coors beer cans in his sport-utility vehicle. He stared into space, belched, laughed and finally began slurring incoherently, the police report says.
As police took him away, Campuzano admitted he had eight beers, three tequilas and three cognacs. He told officers he had "too much beer" and did not want to hurt anyone, the report says.
Offered a Breathalyzer, he said, "What's the point — I know I'm drunk," the report says.
Once officers brought him inside the Calumet District police station, 727 E. 111th St., he proceeded to urinate on the floor, police said.
Afterward, he kneeled on the floor and "played (an imaginary) piano" and "sang at the top of his lungs," the report says.
The Tribune reported that Campuzano also rattled his handcuffs against a police station bench as part his musical performance, which he himself said he thought sounded good.
Charged with aggravated DUI and other charges, he was held Sunday on bail of $10,000.
