Police Chase Across NW Side Ends At O'Hare
CHICAGO (STMW) -- An armed robbery in the Belmont Cragin neighborhood prompted a police chase across the Northwest Side before a suspect was arrested near O'Hare Airport Tuesday afternoon.
The pursuit started about 6:30 p.m. following the armed robbery in the 6300 block of West Diversey Avenue, police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.
Police followed a vehicle allegedly connected to the robbery, and were eventually able to arrest a person wanted in connection with the investigation when the chase ended near O'Hare Airport, Alfaro said.
Two police vehicles collided during the chase, but no one was hurt, Alfaro said.
Further details on the robbery and crash were not yet known Tuesday night.
