Tuesday afternoon, the two walked into LA Tan in Arlington Heights. As one distracted the employee behind the counter, the second stole her wallet, according to the Daily Herald.
That employee initially locked the women in the store, but they were able to escape to a nearby vehicle. But the employee wrote down a partial license plate.
Later that day, police in Mount Prospect received reports of similar theft reports at two other businesses. With the help of the license plate number the two were caught.
