Police: Burglars Strike Five Near West Side Businesses
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Police are warning businesses on the Near West Side about five recent burglaries this month.
In each case, the suspects smash windows to enter businesses, then take items inside, according to an alert issued by Near West District police.
Three burglaries have happened in the 2400 block of West Fulton Street, on Sept. 2, Sept. 6 and Sept. 8, the alert said.
Two more burglaries happened in the 2500 block of West Lake Street last Thursday and Friday, the alert said.
Police are urging business owners to keep the perimeter of their properties well-lit and ask for contact information from anyone who says they saw the burglary, the alert said.
Anyone with information is asked to call Area Central detectives at (312) 747-8384.
