Police Block Outbound Lanes Of Dan Ryan While Searching For Gun Tossed By Carjacking Suspect

CHICAGO (CBS) -- All outbound lanes of the Dan Ryan near 69th Street were blocked shortly after 6 p.m. Friday.

Illinois State Police and Chicago Police were looking for a gun that a carjacking suspect may have tossed, possibly onto the CTA tracks, while being chased by state troopers. Police asked the CTA to stop service on the Red Line.

The suspect was taken into custody.
