Marci Webber of East Nassau, New York so brutally attacked her daughter - Magdalene - stabbing her in the throat, allegedly, that police say the child's head was nearly severed.
Webber has been transferred from Adventists GlenOaks Hospital to the DuPage County Jail. After receiving treatment for several self-inflicted wounds, she's in good condition.
A law enforcement source says Webber - who was involved in a custody fight with her daughter's father - had been staying at her mother's home in Bloomingdale.
Blood was smeared on a wall of the bathroom where the child's body was found - according to the source, and several words were scrawled in it, presumably written by Webber.
