Police: 1 Dead, 2 Wounded In Shooting

CHICAGO (STMW) - One man is dead and two others were wounded in an early Saturday shooting on the South Side, police said.
Three people were on the sidewalk in the 6800 block of South Elizabeth Street when they were shot at 3:19 a.m., police said.
A 23-year-old man was shot in the neck and taken to Saint Bernard Hospital and Health Center, police said.
DeAngelo Alexander, 23, of 2057 W. 68th Street, was pronounced dead at Saint Bernard Hospital and Health Center at 3:50 a.m., according to a spokesperson from the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
A 23-year-old man was shot in the neck and taken in "stable" condition to University of Chicago Hospitals, police said. A 22-year-old man was shot in the thigh and taken in good condition to Holy Cross Hospital.
A description of the gunman was not immediately available.
Wentworth Area detectives are investigating, but nobody is in custody.
