Planes Clip Wings At O'Hare
CHICAGO (STMW) -- No one was injured Wednesday night when a passenger jet with 284 people aboard and a cargo plane clipped the tips of their wings as they taxied past each other at O'Hare International Airport.
The incident happened sometime between 6 and 6:30 p.m., according to Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Tony Molinaro.
An LOT Polish Airlines charter flight with 284 passengers and crew clipped the wingtip of a Lufthansa cargo plane, with just two crew members aboard, as the planes taxied past each other, Molinaro said.
No one was injured, and the FAA and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating.
