Pitching A Big Disappointment As Cubs Are Clobbered By Texas Rangers
SURPRISE, Ariz. (CBS) -- Colin Rea was the Pacific Coast League pitcher of the year last season in AAA minor league baseball.
But Thursday was not an award-winning day for him or any of the Cubs pitchers as they took on the Texas Rangers in Cactus League play.
The Rangers' Rougned Odor had a first-inning grand slam off Rea, and it was nearly all downhill from there.
The Rangers scored seven runs in the eighth inning alone, and had 14 hits off 10 Cubs pitchers.
The Rangers hammered the Cubs 13-1.
