Pilots Will Soon Fly Through Security At O'Hare
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A new approach to airport security screening will be tested at O'Hare International Airport this summer.
As WBBM Newsradio 780's Bob Conway reports, the program allows pilots to move through security checkpoints without a scan or pat-down, in an effort to speed things up.
The Chicago Tribune quotes TSA officials as saying the move is a step toward a more "logical risk-based��� screening system, rather than treating pilots and passengers as equal threats.

Verification of pilot identification will be made using photos and real-time airline employment data.
But some members of Congress and others question the absence of so-called biometric matches such as fingerprints, while some aviation experts warn that a strictly document-based system can be defeated, the Tribune reported.
