Pick-Up Truck Crashes Into Cicero Town Hall Building
(CBS) -- Cicero's Town Hall building was damaged following a car accident Saturday morning, according to a town spokesman.
Police say the driver of a Dodge pick-up ran a red light in the intersection of 50th Avenue and Cermak Road and hit a Nissan car around 9:30 a.m. Saturday. The pick-up then careened through the intersection, hitting a traffic light before crashing into the corner of the Cicero Town Hall's entrance.
The drivers of both vehicles declined medical attention. The driver of the pick-up was cited for failure to stop at a red light, failure to yield to oncoming traffic, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and two citations for damage caused to public property.
