Photograph Of Jewelry Draws Tips In Serial Murder Case
(CBS) -- Police in Northwest Indiana may be closer to learning the identities of two victims of an alleged serial killer.
Promising new leads came one day after authorities released a photograph of jewelry worn by one of the women victims.

The bodies of some suspected victims of alleged serial killer Darren Vann -- found in the abandoned homes -- were unrecognizable.
But Thursday, the Lake County, Ind. coroner said someone did recognize jewelry that could help the investigation. A ring and bracelet -- with an inscription "best aunt" -- prompted a call from a person claiming to a relative of one victim.
A second caller recognized the blue jeans of another victim.
Authorities are still looking for clues to confirm the identities of the two, plus a third victim.
Police have identified four other victims: Afrikka Hardy, Anith Jones, Teaira Batey and Kristine Williams.
Cmdr. Samuel Roberts is also leading the search for more victims, checking abandoned homes with help of cadaver dogs.
Gary Hay is the owner of the cadaver dog, named Wiley.
They hadn't found anything Thursday, police say.
