Photo Of The Weekend: Tiger Bends Incredible Shot Around Tree

(CBS) When play was suspended by darkness Sunday evening at Torrey Pines in San Diego, Tiger Woods had built a six-shot lead with 11 holes to play.

But it wasn't exactly easy. Woods ended the third round with a bogey and missed the fairway on the first and second holes when his final round started less than an hour later. He managed to save par on both of those holes and birdied the third, but then found himself with his most difficult shot yet when his drive on four landed right behind a severely leaning tree.

The bend in the tree gave him just enough of a window to fit a ridiculously hard slice that managed to run up just short of the green. In our photo of the weekend, courtesy of Donald Mirelle of Getty Images, you can see how Tiger bent the shot by raising his left elbow high in the air in his follow-through. Look closely and you can see the ball just barely clear the tree (click on the photo to see a larger image).

Oh, and if this shot wasn't impressive enough, Tiger chipped in for birdie. Of course he did.
