Pfleger: City Council Hearing On Chiraq "Insulting"
(CBS) -- Father Michael Pfleger of St. Sabina's says a City Council meeting Monday discussing the merits of a movie titled Chiraq is "insulting," reports WBBM's Mariam Sobh.
The City Council is expected to discuss whether Spike Lee's film Chiraq should receive a tax credit.
It comes after many council members and Mayor Rahm Emanuel have voiced their displeasure with the film title. But Fr. Pfleger says the City Council should be talking about real issues.

"It is just insulting to me that we are going to spend time talking about a movie title and not having a movie talking about the violence, talking about the cutoff of funds from the state," he said.
Pfleger says he is angry especially after seeing yet another bloody weekend in Chicago.
