Peterson's Lawyers Want Brodsky's Financial Records
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Drew Peterson's attorneys got some of what they wanted from former colleague Joel Brodsky, but not everything.
Peterson's Lawyers Want Brodsky's Financial Records
Attorneys Steve Greenberg, Joe Lopez and David Peilet want financial records kept by former colleague Joel Brodsky.
They seek a new trial and contend that Brodsky was more interested in financial gain than in effectively representing Peterson.
But Pilot says the records are far from complete and time is short.
"We need the documents in order to show a possible conflict of interest that Joel might have had and there is preparation time that is needed to put together our arguments, so the sooner we get those documents the better," said Peilet.
Judge Edward Burmila is giving Brodsky until Wednesday to come up with the rest. The new trial motion is to be heard Feb. 19.
